First and foremost. I’m a believer, but let me explain. To me the word “believer” encompasses more than a faith in the existence of a God, but a believer in what the power of God can do in and through people. I love the word, because “believer” is both a noun and a verb. It’s a title and a lifestyle. I’ve discovered that actions are byproducts of beliefs, and sadly for many, the word “christian” has been reduced to just a mere title void of the implications.
I’m a husband. My beautiful wife Emily & I have been married for 8 years and have two heartbeat-skipping daughters, Torah (5) & Ruby (2). Which means, I am a father. I consider this both my greatest honor and challenge. Every time I look at my daughters, I am inspired to be a better man, better leader, and stronger believer.
I am a Pastor. Emily and I helped plant Calvary Life DFW about 6 years ago in Keller, TX. After originally serving in our church in CT, we followed God’s leading to move from small Connecticut to Big Texas and be apart of this church plant. Leading others has taught me more about myself, than it has about others. At times, more than I cared to know. But I also believe that most people, whether they admit or not, struggle or wrestle with pretty much the same things. So learning about me, has given me a roadmap to help others do the same.
This site is a compilation of my thoughts and discoveries as a believer, husband, dad and leader. My “why” is to see people live out the freedoms purchased for them and experience God’s transformation love and leadership in their life.
I invite you to comment, even if you disagree. I believe healthy dialogue is one of the best avenues towards maturity and growth. As you read, I hope you are moved, encouraged and challenged to grow and love others!
